Requirement: A creature loyal to Imix must activate this power, and must be adjacent to the idol to do so.

Attack: Ranged 10 (one creature the activating creature can see); +22 vs. Fortitude

Hit: The target teleports inside the idol, is restrained, and loses any immunity or resistance to fire while in the idol—see “Countermeasures” below. Creatures have line of sight but no line of effect to the target, and vice versa. A target restrained inside the idol takes 30 fire damage at the end of its turn. If this damage kills the target, its body is reduced to ash. A target freed from the idol can teleport to a space within 10 squares of the idol.

Countermeasures

Identify: Arcana DC 24:The crystal is an idol of Fire Lord Imix, a powerful primordial.

Identify: Arcana (trained only) DC 33:The crystal has the power to capture creatures inside it and burn them to a crisp.

Identify: Perception DC 17:The character sees that the crystal is rooted to the floor and immobile.

Identify: Perception DC 24:The character notices that the crystal is hollow and emanates ripples of heat.

Escape: Endurance DC 24 (standard action). Success: The trapped creature escapes the idol. Failure (by 5 or more): The trapped creature takes 15 fire damage.

Escape: Endurance DC 33 (minor action). Success: The trapped creature escapes the idol. Failure (by 5 or more): The trapped creature takes 15 fire damage.

Free a Prisoner: Arcana (trained only) DC 24 (standard action). Requirement: The character must be adjacent to the idol. Success: The character touches the idol and commands it to release the trapped creature. Failure (by 5 or more): The character and the trapped creature each take 15 fire damage.
